Silverfish & Eels
I have told you a bunch about the knitting aspect of my life but I really haven’t shared any of my academic experiences yet. Just as a general overview, I am a junior Biology Education Major with a minor in Environmental Science at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. My freshman year was rough academically because I jumped on the opportunity to learn to row on the Marist Women’s...

When you can’t find your mistake, you have no choice but to stop and give it a rest. Otherwise you will go insane blindly taking out multiple rows. ::sigh:: Whoever said knitting was relaxing obviously wasn’t trying to expand their abilities.

Frustration = Getting to the end of a row and realizing you didn’t end on the stitch you were supposed to. Translation….You messed up. Now go back and look at every stitch to see what you did wrong. Well…a while back I bought Noro Kureyon and had to split the order because I forgot to change the quantity in my shopping card. The next day I got an email from the owner saying she noticed I had two purchases and wanted to know if she should combine them. I...

B(lizzard)-Day
Tomorrow is my wonderful boyfriend Tim’s 22nd birthday. One problem…blizzard. I am hoping the roads clear enough that I can travel and spend a good portion of the day with him. For Christmas he got me an apron inspired by my favorite webcomic, Questionable Content. I love it! I also got a very cozy purple Snuggie from his dad so I can knit while staying warm and a nifty ball winder...

Queue
I have added the Shroom hat to my queue. It will be a belated Christmas present for my amazing friend Emily. Check out her blog! She makes and sells beautiful handmade jewelry! I am considering selling some of my knitted works alongside her at a craft fair or two next summer.
